A responsible investment
Our Åland business traditions characterize the way we see a good and responsible investment. We want to form trustful relationships built on competence, devotion, loyalty and mutual respect. We want to be part of building sustainable and growing companies that will thrive and provide a return for all its stakeholders, also long after our ownership has come to its end.
Evolver is a member of the Finnish Venture Capital Association (FVCA) and is committed to comply with their ethical guidelines and Code of Conduct. We also adhere to the United Nations’ initiative on Principles for Responsible Investments (UNPRI).
When evaluating an investment we always look at both the core values of the target company as well as its business activities, and incorporate environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into our investment analysis and decision-making process.
We only invest in companies that share our values and our stance on ESG issues, or where we see that we will be in a position to improve the company’s performance in this regard as majority owner.
It is our firm belief that actively managing and implementing ESG aspects has significant positive influence on the company’s long-term financial performance and value.
ESG
We comply with the EU’s Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (2019/2088) on disclosure of information regarding how we manage ESG aspects in our investments. Our ESG Policy describes how we work to comply with the regulatory requirements.
